Talascend is currently seeking a User Acceptance Testing/QA Specialist for a contract opportunity located in Elkhart, IN.
Must not require sponsorship to work in the United States for this position.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure product quality and functionality.
Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to identify defects and inconsistencies.
Collaborate with developers and product teams to reproduce, isolate, and resolve issues.
Ensure compliance with established quality standards, processes, and procedures.
Automate repetitive testing tasks and maintain automated test scripts when applicable.
Prepare and present comprehensive test reports and metrics to stakeholders.
Work with business stakeholders to define and document UAT test cases based on requirements and business processes.
Coordinate UAT sessions, ensuring proper setup of test environments, data, and users.
Act as a liaison between the business users and the technical team during UAT.
Record and track UAT issues, and assist in prioritizing and resolving them.
Ensure the final product meets business needs and user expectations before deployment.
Collaborate with project managers, developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure alignment on requirements and test objectives.
Provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders.
Educate end-users on testing processes and support them during the UAT phase.
Identify opportunities to enhance testing processes, tools, and techniques.
Stay updated on the latest QA and testing methodologies, tools, and technologies.
Recommend improvements to ensure product quality and reduce testing cycle times.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3-5 years' experience in QA and/or UAT testing roles.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
Hands-on experience with testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, or similar).
Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Familiarity with database queries for testing purposes (SQL or similar).
Understanding of API testing tools like Postman or SOAP UI.
ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Must thrive in a fast-paced, innovative work environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, good conflict management and negotiation skills, and ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans and recommendations.
