About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in its mission to address the impacts of extreme heat on women and vulnerable communities. The CFO will be instrumental in the organization's transition to an independent entity, establishing a strong financial foundation to support its global growth. This includes shaping long-term financial strategy, overseeing compliance and governance, and building donor and partner confidence through transparent financial stewardship. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial management within a complex, global environment, and will be responsible for leading a small finance team, strategic financial planning, and global financial architecture. Key responsibilities for the CFO at the company include strategic leadership and growth, team leadership and culture, financial infrastructure and governance, nonprofit financial management and compliance, international finance and partnerships, and board, donor, and partner engagement. The successful candidate will be a trusted, self-aware, and emotionally intelligent leader, with advanced proficiency in financial systems and business intelligence tools. They should have a deep commitment to equity, feminist values, and global inclusivity, and a genuine passion for climate resilience and just, inclusive solutions. The role demands a leader who is action-oriented, results-driven, and capable of handling rapid shifts with confidence and sound judgment.
