Reputable company seeks to hire an experienced Chief Estimator to add to their team!

Must have experience in construction, demolition or excavation industry. Those without industry experience will not be considered.

Chief Estimator will be responsible to manage estimating team, providing training & assistance to estimators, survey projects, estimate labor & material costs, communicate financial cost & timelines to customers.

• Able to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes.
• Proven ability to lead a proactive department and ensure accountability for results that maximize contribution to business objectives.
• Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Able to work directly with clients to ensure deliverables are fully understood and fall within the applicable scope and budget.
• Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
• Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimate to ensure overall accuracy.
• Act as the final say in the calculation, analysis, and adjustment of estimates.
• Present estimates to clients in a timely and polite manner.
• Recommend cost-reduction options.
• Maintain thorough records of all project estimate documentation, including estimates, plans, communications with stakeholders and other material.
• Visit project sites and other venues necessary to complete an accurate estimate.
• Perform complex analysis of collected data and metrics.
• Prepare relevant and reliable forecasts.
• Conduct complex risk analysis activities.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project bid documentation
• Prepare and present reports as required by clients, management and governmental agencies.
