About the Role

We are looking for an inspiring Executive Director to lead our U.S. operations. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader passionate about advancing children's rights and social equity, focusing particularly on combating poverty, exploitation, and neglect. This key position plays a crucial role during an important leadership transition, working collaboratively to build a sustainable organizational framework while ensuring that our U.S. operations closely align with our global mission.

The Executive Director will be responsible for both strategic and operational oversight, with a strong emphasis on expanding and diversifying fundraising efforts. This includes maintaining and enhancing our current event-based fundraising strategies while exploring new opportunities in major gifts, institutional funding, and corporate partnerships.

Essential qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience, with at least 5 years in an executive role within a nonprofit or social impact organization.
  • A proven track record of successful fundraising, including securing six-figure gifts and managing high-profile events.
  • A background in international development, child rights, or global nonprofit management.
  • Experience with Indian diaspora communities is strongly preferred.
  • Strong team leadership and change management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities to act as the organization's chief spokesperson.

A relevant degree and familiarity with the U.S. philanthropic landscape are preferred. The Executive Director will also oversee organizational governance and ensure compliance with U.S. nonprofit regulations.
