Sky Optics is an industrial boutique sunglass store with a focus on customer experience, performance sunglasses and prescription. We are looking for an experienced Optician / Manager. 

Experience in eyewear is required, computer capable, sales experience is needed, great communication skills is a must.

We are looking for managers who really enjoy working with customers, sun eyewear and who have a passion for fashion. Sky Optics takes pride in great customer service and having exceptional knowledge of the eyewear we carry. Our goal is to cultivate relationships and provide confidence to our customers. You will be become an expert of our eyewear and related products/services. This includes prescription and non prescription sunglasses. We are a Boutique store with a large online presence. You will fit and answer customer needs online, over the phone and in person. You will be responsible for Online store website activities, inventory, daily shipping of eyewear and store opening and closing procedures.

MAJOR DUTIES (Optical/Sales)

- Help with merchandise selection, fitting, dispensing- Ability to read, analyze and interpret prescriptions (online, over the phone and in person).

- Assists customer in selecting frames and lenses that are best suited for their lifestyle, vision and budget needs.

- Shows patience and courtesy with indecisive or hard-to-please customers. Research answers to customer questions and related product details.

- Works with other retail associates in developing their knowledge and skill regarding product and store processes.

- Make recommendations to improve our customer’s experience, our business, and profitability- Maintain Licensing requirements (as applicable)

- Anticipates problems before they occur and explores underlying reasons for recurring customer problems. Make recommendations and problem solve.

- High School Education or higher

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

ALL EMPLOYEES:

- Greet all customers

- Explaining the process of purchasing RX if needed

- Know our products from a technical and fashion point of view

- Must be computer literate and be able to navigate an iPad, basic computer programs and point of sale system.

- Identify customer’s needs and help them select the perfect frame based on face shape, size, budget, proposed activities and desired style

- Able to work a varying schedule to include days and some evenings, weekends and holidays

- Keep store organized by cleaning and straightening displays, ensure frames are stocked, ticketed properly, noting customer and store needs.

- Inspect and tag new eyewear and complete retail final inspections

- Adjust and repair eyewear and process defective, spoiled, and cannibalized frames

- Adhere to privacy and confidential and proprietary company policies and procedures (i.e. HIPAA)

- Complete any company required training programs; Keeping up to date on brand changes, new models, and trends

- Other duties as assigned by management to include opening/closing procedures as well as cross training between online and floor sales
