Part Time Ambulance Driver duties and responsibilities: - Safely operate and maintain an Ambulance while in compliance with all laws pertaining to the operation of the vehicle while transporting patients
- Interact professionally with other health care personnel and with disabled, disadvantaged, sick, and injured persons
- Complete daily vehicle inspection and equipment checklist, including cleaning of vehicles (inside and out)
- Clean all equipment following appropriate disinfecting procedures and restock/replace used linens, blankets, and other supplies
- Makes careful check of all equipment so that van is ready for the next run
- Maintains vehiclein efficient operating condition
- Colleting payments and issuing receipts if needed
- Secures all passengersper the Company Passenger Securement Policy
- Responsible for safe loading/unloading of all passengers
- Ensures all reports, letter, and documentation are accurate and completed in a timely fashion
Required Education and Experience for WC Van Driver: - Current CPR
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 years of driving experience
- Possess good verbal communication skills
Physical Demands - Bend, sit, kneel and lift up to 125 lbs; push/pull objects over 50 lbs
- Maintain physical agility for safe patient handling in demanding environments
- Tolerate extended periods of driving or riding in an ambulance/ WC van
- Perform effectively in physically strenuous and emotionally challenging situations
