Erie Industrial Products (EIP) is a leading USA-made manufacturer of a wide variety of custom copper connectors. Located in Oberlin, Ohio, 40 minutes southwest of Cleveland, Erie Industrial Products has proudly served the connectivity needs of OEMs, electrical contractors, and system installers across North America since 2001.

We are currently seeking a Shipping Lead to oversee the daily operations of the shipping department, ensuring all outbound shipments are processed efficiently, accurately, and on time. This role involves supervising shipping staff, coordinating logistics, ensuring compliance with safety and shipping regulations, and liaising with other departments to maintain a smooth workflow.

  • Lead, train, and manage shipping team members.

• \n Shipping Operations
  \n
  • Oversee packing, labeling, and documentation of shipments.
  \n
  • Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  \n
  • Ensure timely and accurate shipping of all orders.
  \n
  \n

• \n Inventory & Documentation
  \n
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
  \n
  • Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure stock accuracy.
  \n
  • Resolve discrepancies related to shipping and inventory.
  \n
  \n

• \n Compliance & Safety
  \n
  • Enforce compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., DOT, OSHA) to ensure adherence to established guidelines.
  \n
  • Conduct regular safety checks and training sessions to ensure a safe working environment.
  \n
  \n
\n
• \n Process Improvement
  \n
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies; recommend and implement improvements.
  \n
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  \n

Qualifications

\n
• High school diploma or equivalent
\n
• 3+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations.
\n
• Previous supervisory or team leader experience preferred.
\n
• Strong knowledge of shipping software and logistics systems.
\n
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
\n

Physical Requirements

\n
• Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
\n
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
\n
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery (certification may be required).
\n
