Position Summary:

This role is responsible for delivering compassionate, individualized nursing care to patients and their families. The nurse collaborates with providers, staff, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily patient flow to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality care.
  • Triage incoming patient requests for services effectively.
  • Provide patient education to support care plans, informed health decisions, and overall wellness.
  • Delegate care appropriately in accordance with Colorado statutes.
  • Demonstrate strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills.
  • Manage a high volume of patient phone requests related to medications, information, and assistance.
  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures following patient safety guidelines.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, Vail Health, and other providers to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining professional standards.
  • Provide excellent service through Relationship-Based Care, advocating for patient safety and communication.
  • Model Just Culture principles and uphold organizational values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year operating room experience required.

Licensure:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state required.

Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required

Computer / Typing Skills:

  • Must be able to obtain computer skills within 90 days to complete online learning, access forms and policies, and complete benefits enrollment.
  • Must be proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
