Title: Director, Fieldwork Training-Genetic Counseling Graduate Program Department: Genetics Counseling Program Date Posted: 10/17/2025 Salary: $60 per hour FLSA: Non-exempt Starting Date: As soon as possible Contact: Please submit an online application Job Title: Director, Fieldwork Training - Genetic Counseling Graduate Program Full/Part Time: Part time Campus: LIU Post Reports To: Director of Genetic Counseling Program Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities Coordinating, monitoring and evaluating students’ clinical rotation experiences Assisting with developing annual plans to secure an appropriate variety and number of logbook cases Providing review and evaluation of clinical supervisors Providing training for new clinical supervisors Obtaining clinical affiliation agreements Assisting with the admissions process This is an hourly position, 0.3 FTE. Education Requirements Must possess a Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling with ABGC/ABMG Board Certification Training. Skills, Knowledge, Experience Interest in advancing the field of genetic counseling Minimum of three years of successful experience as a clinical genetic counselor Previous clinical supervision experience, teaching and administrative experience Excellent organizational and communication skills Demonstrated commitment to advancing genetic counseling LIU is an equal opportunity employer.
